Introduction to Mindfulness

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.”

— Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn

Mindfulness is an art of living that helps us to reconnect with our heart, befriend our mind, and awaken to our lives.

Many of us move through moments of our day distracted, disconnected and dissatisfied. Unfortunately this anxious & stressed state has become our new normal.

Mindfulness offers us a research-based approach that can help us to cultivate a healthier normal state, based on self-care & balance, calm & presence.

Course background

The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme was developed 40 years ago by Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn in response to this problem. Since then it has become the gold standard Mindfulness Introduction programme worldwide. The 8 week programme has been shown to be particularly beneficial for people dealing with stress and anxiety.
